3rd edition of the Participatory Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira
The voting phase of the proposals for the 3rd edition of the Participatory Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira is now open.

The Participatory Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (OPRAM) was created with the aim of involving citizens in decision-making processes, promoting active and informed participation, and corresponds to a commitment made by the Regional Government of Madeira for 2021.
To this extent, OPRAM constitutes an effective means of participatory democracy, with the involvement of citizens, young people and adults, in the decision-making process of public policies at regional level.
In this second edition, OPRAM has allocated a global budget of €5,000,000.00 (five million euros), and the accepted preliminary proposals will cover the areas of the environment, mobility and sustainable development, citizenship, culture, inclusion social, civil protection, health, youth, sport, education, agriculture and rural development and tourism.
Preliminary proposals may be at municipal or supra-municipal scope, if the preliminary proposal to be presented has an impact on more than one municipality in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
€250,000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand euros) are reserved for each municipality, except for Porto Santo, whose allocation will be €350,000.00 (three hundred and fifty thousand euros). For preliminary proposals at a supra-municipal level, €2,150,000.00 (two million, one hundred and fifty thousand euros) are reserved.
All citizens, national or foreign, residing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, aged 18 (eighteen) years or over, can submit preliminary proposals, online through the platform https://opram.madeira.gov.pt, the application of the OPRAM for mobile devices or at one of the participatory meetings that will take place in the 11 municipalities of the Region.
